Happy Birthday, Averi!

We headed over to the Corba's on Saturday to celebrate Averi's 3rd birthday! They had a cook-out and pony rides for all of the kiddos. Sam and I had so much fun:)

The Elmo Clan!

Mamo promised Sam some goldfish since he has done such a great job on the potty. Dorothy, Mr. Noodle, and Mrs. Noodle joined our household last night:) He was thrilled! The pictures say it all. Here are a few of my favorite comments he has made so far:

Fourth of July Weekend!

Sam and I headed over to Adina and Tim's today for a cook out and some fireworks fun! We had a great time and are truly blessed with great friends:) My attempt at a self-portrait shot with Sam...I think it is going to take some work:) Enjoying the show:)

Potty Training...Yea!

Sam is doing an excellent job with his potty training. He had a couple of accidents with Joe last night while I was out. However, Joe took him to the store tonight in his big boy underwear and he did great! No accidents:) I hope we are there...I am still putting him in pull-up at night. I really don't think he is ready for underwear at night yet.

Day 3...Still Going Strong!

Day 3 and we are still at it! He had an accident this evening while Joe was here...I ran out to get a few things and he wet his pants. I told Joe that I can live with that especially since he has been telling me when he has to have go #2!!! Day 2...Proud Mama!

I am happy to report that Sam is doing very well with his potty training. He had one accident this morning and I really felt like it was more my fault than his. I didn't get him to the the potty soon enough when he first woke up. Anyway, my Mom has been telling me for months that persistence and consistency are what is key when doing this...I am starting to think she is right! We have been held hostage in the house for the past two days, but it has been well worth it:) I can only hope that he keeps this up! Until tomorrow...

Potty Training!

Potty training has started at the Powers household! It has been a great success...so far! Sam has shown interest in the potty for the last several months. I didn't start with him sooner because of working full time. We were going to start last week until he got sick:( Today he stayed dry all afternoon and evening. I am putting regular underwear on him during the day and pull up/diaper on at night. I was so impressed this evening with him. We were on a walk and he told me we needed to go home so he could pee! Woohoo! He did pee and and had a bm for the second time! Yea! Hopefully, this trend will keep up tomorrow:) To all my fellow potty training mothers out there...Good Luck!!!!Putting his "poops" in the potty:)Farm animals from the prize box! Summer Nights...Love Them!

Tonight, I put out the sprinkler the Easter Bunny brought Sam. He loved it!!! The pictures below say it all:)

Summer Fun!

Sam I headed to the Jeffersonville library with Mamo, Victor and Maddie. We had so much fun! The kiddos signed up for the Summer Reading Club for this summer...every book they read they receive so many points and earn rewards. They are all so excited:) For some reason I can't interest my child in books when we first get to the library! He always wants to play with the puzzles first.Sam and Mommy...so sad. He is now calling me Mommy, not Mama:(Getting ready to check out a Veggie Tales book:) After the library we headed to the Jeffersonville Elks to have lunch and swim. So much fun! Yea for summer:)

A Day Out With Thomas!
